Dear Baby Bird,
Yesterday we rented bikes and explored the island on wheels.
We rode past the house of Harold Warp, who is a distant relative on the family tree. Brother posed for a photo in front.
We stopped by the carriage house and stables of the Grand Hotel. Some really cool history in there! And of course you guys wanted to get on the turtle statue.
You conked out in the middle of the ride!
Brother and I climbed up Sugar Loaf while you slept. Brother left part of his leg skin on the side of the rock.
We made it all the way up to arch rock, it was really beautiful!
After lunch we found the school and enjoyed their playground.
We also spent some time in the hotel lobby playing with your new horses.
Back on the bikes for another ride....
... this time to see the butterfly exhibit. This green one was your favorite to look at, probably because it was by the waterfall.
We enjoyed a feast from the deli for dinner, and took in our last night on the island.
Today we packed up and rode the boat back to the mainland. We waved goodbye to our hotel.
We took our time driving through the UP, and ended up in Marinette for the evening. We explored the history park and playground there, then found out about a town celebration in the next town.
You guys had a lot of fun on the bounce-houses. You even did a very tall fire-truck slide. Brother went down this slide, it was pretty crazy!
Back to the hotel for a swim, then to bed for everyone.
Tomorrow we'll drive home, stopping at Kohler-Andrae park to stretch our legs. It's been an amazing vacation and we've all had a lot of fun.
Love,
Mom
