Cousin fun

Dear Baby Bird,

Today was a great day of fun with cousins and family.

We were all together to celebrate your cousin's wedding shower. Isn't she beautiful?

After the shower, everyone got together for dinner and family time.  You especially loved playing with bubbles with your cousin.

We celebrated birthdays for you and Nana and your cousin.

One of your favorite parts of the day was when you got to run in circles around the house and your cousins and uncles would chase you, or jump out and scare you. Such an exciting day sure wore you out! Time for bed in your new pajamas.

Pirates Cove

Dear Baby Bird,

You had an adventure today with Dad and Brother while I was visiting your cousin for her wedding shower.  I think some of "what happens on a boys' weekend stays at a boys' weekend" will go into effect here, but I can share some pictures from your trip to Pirate's Cove to meet Daddy's childhood friends and their kids.

Dad said you had a great time!

County Fair

Dear Baby Bird,

Today was the first day of the County Fair.

We got to see animals and eat delicious food, and you got to go on a few rides.... you loved it!

At the end of the night, they sent hot air balloons up into the sky, and you got to watch them.

Bastille Day

Bonjour Baby Bird!

In honor of Bastille Day, Dad took you and Brother to the local celebration.

 
You had a great time, and were so excited (not to mention the sugar from beignets and crepes) that you didn't take a nap.... until Dad took you for a ride in the stroller before bed.

It's pretty silly to sleep in your stroller when you have this great new sleeping arrangement in your room!

Bundle of Energy

Dear Baby Bird,

You have so much energy, I wish we could bottle it up! Instead, we'll capture you on video.

There are balloons around from your birthday, and you are really having fun hitting them with your new sword. You always take the same stance before you swing, I guess you've been watching some baseball lately.

 

You also really like singing. Your favorite songs to sing are "Firetruck" (My favorite part of that is when you yell "help me again!" like the singer on the CD does), Row Row, Twinkle Twinkle, Ipsy Spider, and Frere Jacques.

Today is the Day

Dear Baby Bird,

Happy Birthday Party

Dear Baby Bird,

You've had a lot of celebrations for your birthday already, and you think that America Flags are saying 'Happy Birthday' to you.

Today we had a party with some of your friends and family.

You woke up from nap to a house full of balloons!

The cookies were soooooo tempting, so as soon as your friends arrived, we sang to you so you could eat one.

Opening presents was fun, and you liked playing with the new toys and puzzles with friends.

 You already seem so big!

Firetruck Parade

Dear Baby Bird,

We took you to see the parade today for the 4th of July.

You enjoyed all of the parade, but mostly you wanted to see the firetrucks.

Brother was walking in the parade, he used his strong muscles to carry this banner the whole way!
